Imperial Oil Limited Cold Lake Operations required a complete modernization of their existing storage facility in its challenging northern Alberta location.

The intent was to increase both the available storage capacity and the efficiency of the logistic operations in the facility and bring the entire warehousing operation up to current code requirements.

Shelf-supported platforms double the inventory capacity in a given floor area and are engineered to building code.

Commander Warehouse Equipment Inc. was contracted to provide full project expertise from initial consultations and design to final installation and commissioning of the warehouse space. In its partnership with IOL Canada, Commander Warehouse relied on the experience and expertise of its leading sales consultant and the on-site logistics managers for IOL to foster an efficient project flow and allow the project to meet IOL expectations. This project management was performed flawlessly and allowed this project to maintain budget and timelines.

The LOGIMAT Vertical Lift Module is similar to an oversized drawer cabinet with two stacks of trays, one at the front and one at the back. Between the two rows of trays is a lift. This lift climbs the entire height of the vertical storage machine to remove an individual tray from the respective positions and to deliver them to the access opening.

Varied arm spacings accommodate an assortment of long heavy equipment spares.
