Warehouse Management Tips: Optimizing Work Centers

An effectively managed warehouse or work center relies on several core pieces of equipment to help expedite operations and work flow. For over forty years, Commander Warehouse Equipment has been helping businesses improve their warehouse productivity by incorporating simple yet effective products and equipment into their work centers. In order to get the most out of your work center’s performance, Commander Warehouse Equipment recommends adopting workbenches, stools & chairs, and shop desks into your warehouse. We explain the benefits of each below:

WORKBENCHES

Workbenches can benefit any type of work center in many different ways due to their versatility and durability. Commander Warehouse Equipment stocks many different types of workbenches that contain shelves, drawers, cabinets and more. The adaptability of workbenches means that they can store tools, equipment and inventory while also doubling as a sturdy work surface.

STOOLS & CHAIRS

A lot of warehouse and work center operations take place on the feet; however, that doesn’t mean that stools and chairs are completely irrelevant. In fact, stools and chairs are important to have around work centers in order to reduce exhaustion, prevent poor posture and optimize mobility. Step stools are an important safety measure to have around in case objects become out of reach. Commander Warehouse and Equipment has many different types of stools available including step stools, stationary and adjustable stools and drafting stools.

SHOP DESKS

Similar to workbenches, shop desks are another multifaceted piece of warehouse equipment that is important to have in any work center. Wall mounted shop desks provide a sturdy work surface along with drawers and shelving space for storage. Floor model foreman’s desks provide similar storage; however, they are also easily transferable throughout the work center. Cabinet style shop desks have all of the benefits of wall mounted and floor model foreman’s desks, with the additional benefit of extra cabinet storage below.
