We hope your holiday season is full of warmth and comfort with the people you love. We wish you and your families all the best as you embark on the new year ahead. This year, in lieu of sending cards, we supported The Surrey Christmas Bureau.
About The Surrey Christmas Bureau
The Surrey Christmas Bureau helps low-income families by providing toys, stocking stuffers, and grocery cards for low-income families. They strive to make a difference by creating memorable holidays for children. Contributions to the Surrey Christmas Bureau are used to purchase age-appropriate toys for children, allowing parents to pick out toys, games, stuffed animals, sports equipment, and winter clothing for their children at their central depot. Grocery cards are also distributed according to family size to be used for nutritious food.
This year, we have provided forty bays of shelving to the Surrey Christmas Bureau, including installation and take down. We intend to provide storage of this shelving as well so we can repeat this process very year. We had a team of Commander employees go to the Bureau, volunteer their time, and provide the assembly work required for this endeavor. We also have another team ready to go for the take down, ensuring that every part of the project is taken care of.
