1. Wire Mesh Decking Load Capacity

Since the load capacity of wire mesh decking depends on the mechanical characteristics of the deck’s components, it is important to first determine what items will be stored on the wire mesh deck in order to ensure that the deck will perform properly. Knowing what types, weights, and dimensions of items will be stored will allow you to select wire mesh decking that can support the required weight, as wire mesh decking that is not suited to hold the desired weight can warp or collapse under pressure.

2. Type of Wire Coating

Wire coating is designed to protect the base metal from being exposed to harsh elements and environments. While there are three different types of wire coating to choose from—paint, powdercoat, and galvanized coated—the type of wire coating that will work best for your particular warehouse will depend on the environment.
